As the social justice movement rapidly expands, some within Christianity seeking to heal injustices against gay people are veering towards pro-gay theology. Some tend to shift back and forth between "truth" and "love," as if they are mutually exclusive. Yet God is revealed in scripture as both - simultaneously. As Christ followers, how do we capture a reflection of the full character of God - sharing his love with LGBT family, friends and neighbors while upholding biblical truth? How do we heal injustices without compromising theologically? Join us to learn how.
About the Speaker: Bill J. Henson, Jr.
Bill is founder and president of Lead Them Home/FOTOS Ministries, Inc., which seeks to enhance the church’s ability to share Christ with and care for those who experience same- gender desire. Bill trains church leaders, and he speaks at churches, conferences and campuses around the country. He also counsels families and individuals. He is host of Lead Them Home radio, a redemptive program airing throughout the Northeast. Lead Them Home offers a number of transformative ministry events including Family Care, Relational Orientation Counseling, Gay & Evangelical Voices: A Dialogue, Evangelicals Grieving Gay Teen Suicide, and The Lighthouse.
