“Lord of the here and now, Lord of the come what may. I want to believe somehow that you can heal these wounds of yesterday. So now I’m asking you to do what you want to do. Be the Lord of my Past. You can do anything. Be the Lord of the Past. I know that you can find a way to heal every yesterday of my life. Be the Lord of the Past”
Bob Bennett

We all have things in our past that haunt us. Things in our life that make us limp emotionally. They cause us to hurt, but mostly they are things we wish we could erase. When we bring these things to God, it is not as if they never existed, but instead, God takes them and does a miracle. Yes, He could take them away. He could make us forget. His healing could be in such a way that those things never make us limp again. Instead, He does more than heal. He conquers in such a way that we do more than overcome. We are able to reach out and help others. God wants to heal our past, so that He gets the glory for our present and our future. He is the glory for our life.

Meet the Speaker: Roy Peters, Jr.

Roy has been with our ministry for a number of years. He was saved in 1977 and served six years in the Navy. When he allowed God to begin healing his life, he decided to attend Colorado Christian University. Since that time, he has served God in a variety of ways. Currently he is an elder a First Assembly of God in Manchester, NH and is the leader of a men’s group. He travels often, sharing the testimony of God’s healing power, has the opportunity to touch many lives. He has been married to Beverly for 28 years, and they have two children.
