History of the Ministry

ReCreation Ministries, Inc., was founded under the name of ReDirections as a ministry connected with Faith Christian Center in Bedford, New Hampshire. The church covering was minimal as the ministry ran independently from the beginning. After several years of baby-like growth, the ministry was picked up by Chuck Therrien and its name was changed to ReCreation Ministries. Under Chuck's care, the ministry went from three people meeting in his finished basement to almost a dozen meeting at the Hooksett Church of the Nazarene.

It was there that Rev. Bill Taylor transitioned into the position of Director. His vision expanded ReCreation's mission to helping people in all areas of sexual healing. With Bill at the helm, ReCreation Ministries, Inc., grew exponentially. Eventually, ReCreation Ministries, Inc., was running meetings in Manchester, New Hampshire, along with beginning satellite ministries in Medway, Massachusetts and Winchester, New Hampshire.

Under the current leadership of Sheena Baker, as director, we continue to grow and reach out into new areas. The ministry currently runs seminars, conferences, talks and workshops. From three people in a basement to three separate meeting places and beyond, ReCreation Ministries continues to reach out to those hurting from sexual brokenness. The ministry now supports over six separate meeting times in over three states, with the prayer for there to be more. These groups are for men, women, families, friends, and teenagers.

ReCreation Ministries, Inc., thanks God for the kindness He has shown us in providing personal growth, spiritual encouragement, a safe place for healing, the joy of conversion, the gift of repentance, fellowship with people who are real, the idea of relational ministries, the Father's heart of love, the Spirit's whispered guidance and the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
